How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

I used a various range of media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages.

The production process of some of the editing techniques I used on my music video once I had put each clip in order.

 As my music video has some lyrics in it I used the 'reflection' font on Final Cut Pro as it looked clear to read due to the blocky font.

I used cross dissolves on a lot of my clips to really emphasize the slow pace of my music video and also reinforce the sad narrative behind it.

Here you can see that I have overlapped two clips and simply turned down the opacity on one of them (52.4%) so that the clip of the clock is partly visible. This was to match the lyrics about time but do it in a more interesting visual way.

I slowed down several clips by using the 'retime' tool and using 'slow' then experimenting with different percentages of slowness it could go to.

This is an effect called 'water pane' that I used on one of my clips to try and reflect tears, therefore conveying emotion clearly and put across the sombre narrative easier.

This shot is of a ring on her hand. This ring was given to her by her significant other who has left her, as this may not have been understandable to the audience I used this 'spot' effect to highlight the area of the ring and make people be drawn to that particular area. By using this effect I am hoping that my idea has been conveyed clearly.

I used the vibrancy effect also on a few of my clips to make it stand out more. I had to do this on this particular clip because the writing stood out a lot more with this effect on, making it easier to read.
